About Breithaupt’s culinary program:
Under the guidance of trained chefs, students in the fine dining program run all aspects of their own restaurant operation 11 times during the school year. Other student services available to the public include event catering, the return of their popular catered Thanksgiving meals and the addition of Christmas dinner catering last year. Fresh, student-butchered cuts of meat, along with a wide range of baked goods are also available for purchase at the school. Students run all aspects of the enterprises, from bookkeeping to pricing to marketing. All proceeds go back to programming at the school. Students in the two-year Culinary Program at Breithaupt rotate every nine to 10 weeks through Hospitality and Tourism, Bake Shop, Fine Dining, Gourmet Cooking, Fundamentals of Cooking, Deli/Fast Food and Meat Shop.
