Comerica Bank and Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix announce “Free Prix Day” with driver Katherine Legge at Detroit International Academy

The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix and Comerica Bank announced Wednesday, February 26, the return of the Free Prix Day during a meet and greet with driver Katherine Legge at Detroit International Academy.

Legge, who will compete at this summer’s Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, spoke to a group of nearly 100 students at Detroit International Academy (DIA) for Young Women – the only public, all-girls K-12 program in Michigan. In addition to speaking with the students about her personal experience in racing and the opportunities for women in motor sports, Legge also invited the young women to tour the DeltaWing garage when they visit Belle Isle Grand Prix to experience the Comerica Bank Free Prix Day.

Comerica Bank Free Prix Day activities will be featured at the Grand Prix on Friday, May 30. Thanks to Comerica Bank, students and fans will be able to enjoy the first day of on-track activities at this year’s Grand Prix free of charge, keeping alive a long-standing staple of Grand Prix events in the Motor City. Grand Prix goers will be able to visit the paddock and garage areas at the event in addition to enjoying free admission to watch the day’s on-track activities, which include IndyCar Series practice, the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship practice and qualifying, Pirelli World Challenge Series practice and qualifying, and the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Truck Series qualifying and first race of the weekend.
