Due to inclement weather, the Class A boys’ basketball regional championship game scheduled for today (Wednesday, March 12) between host Cass Tech and U-D Jesuit has been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday (March 13) at 6 p.m. at Cass Technical High School.

Douglass High, the other Detroit Public School League contender still remaining in the Michigan High School Athletic Association state playoffs, is set to play as scheduled today (Wednesday, March 12) at 7 p.m. against Birmingham Detroit Country Day in the Class B regional championship game at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep.

In regional semifinal action Monday, Cass Tech advanced with a 90-63 victory against Redford Thurston and Douglass kept rolling with a 77-41 victory against Detroit University Prep. Southeastern lost 47-45 against U-D Jesuit, ruining the possibility of the Jungaleers facing Cass Tech for a third time this season.
