Cass Tech’s Rashad Prendergast not only placed fourth at the International Science and Engineering Fair, but was also awarded an all-expense paid trip to study abroad at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel! The Weizmann Institute is one of the world’s top-ranking multidisciplinary research institutions. Collectively, over two million students have competed to reach the International Science Fair and getting a fourth place in the category of Earth and Environmental Science means that Rashad’s project is one of the top 10 in the world! Rashad’s project was focused on the impact road salt has on our atmosphere.
