The $21.8 million Mackenzie Pre-K to 8 School, which opened in the fall 2012, includes a media center, gymnasium and classrooms serving the needs of the school’s elementary and middle school students. The building design focuses on student safety and is environmentally responsible through the adherence to national standards set by CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
